Tom began his career in the meetings and event planning industry with Hyatt Hotels. With Hyatt Tom held the position of Sales Manager and Director of Sales in more than a dozen convention hotels, destination resorts and sales offices nationwide.

He put his sales and management experience to work with other planning companies before forming Contact Planning.

Today Tom is regarded as one of the industry's top planners. In addition, Tom also delivers audio-conferences, sales training and performance consulting.

Adam attended Missouri State University earning a degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Administration. Upon graduation, he took a position as a Corporate Management Trainee with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. On completion of the training program, Adam was promoted and transferred through various management positions in the hotel, focusing on guest service and operations before moving into the Sales Department.

Adam moved on as a National Account Manager for an independent management company that operates the InterContinental and Sheraton Hotels of Kansas City, two of the premier hotels in the midwest market. Adam worked to develop relationships and serve his corporate and association clients.

Adam joined CONTACT Planning in 2009. His top priority while working on the behalf of his national clientele, is making the meeting planning process as cost effective and efficient as possible, through his attention to detail and follow-up.
François Fournier

Born in Paris, François has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality Management from the Lausanne Hospitality School, in Switzerland. While studying at Lausanne, Francois worked on-site at Intercontinental and Accor Hotels. He is a Certified Exhibit Manager (CEM) and a Certified Trade Show Marketer certification – Gold level (CTSM).

François brings more than 15 years of experience in event marketing strategy, exhibit & sponsorship sales, trade show management, event technology sourcing and implementation. He planned high-profile programs in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific while working for corporate and non-profit organizations in the Financial Services industry

His most recent position was Global Head of Events for Fitch Ratings in New York where he led a team of event planners responsible for the planning of 400 events per year, while managing an event marketing budget of $10M. Prior to Fitch, Francois worked for 6 years as Director of Trade Shows and Events for ACORD, an insurance technology association where he managed logistics, marketing, exhibit and sponsorship sales. Prior to ACORD, François spent five years as Event Marketing Manager for Assurant, an international insurance company based in Miami.

François is responsible for developing the CONTACT Planning Sponsorship services, helping corporate and association clients optimize their sponsorship programs and creating direct sales and marketing strategies to increase show attendance at live and virtual events

Rob is a graduate of Rollins College, majoring in theater arts, with a concentration in technical production. He began his professional career with The Walt Disney Company, working his way from Stage Technician to Entertainment/AV Manager with the Disney Event Group. After a near twenty-year career with Disney he worked for local production houses like PTE Productions, AV Matters and OPAV.

Rob brings a unique talent to our organization with a focus on production, design and entertainment enabling him to guide his clients to a brand focused solution, ensuring a stunning outcome.

Based in Orlando, Rob is on the Board of Directors of the MPI Greater Orlando Chapter, an avid golfer and has volunteered in various roles with the PGA.

Derrick Franklin

Derrick began his career as an F&B management trainee. From there he held positions in Conference Services and Restaurant management. He was later recruited as a corporate and national sales manager with the 910 room Adam’s Mark hotel. Later recruited by Starwood Hotels and Resorts as a Global Account Director representing the portfolio of properties. He later gained experience as a National and Regional account manager with several convention and visitor bureaus based in Washington, D.C. He has been the owner of a travel franchise focusing on leisure and group travel with a specialty in cruise bookings.

Derrick joined CONTACT Planning in 20. His top priority while working on the behalf of his clientele, is making the meeting planning process as cost effective and efficient as possible, through his attention to detail and follow-up.
